Guide
Everything the map can do, one tool at a time. On a computer you right-click the map; on a phone you long-press it.
The right-click menu on a computer is the long-press menu on a phone: hold a finger on the map for about a second.
What it is for. Find a place, a building, a grid square or an item, and see where it spawns.
On a computer
- Click the search box at the top and type a place, a well, a Landmark, a building ID, a grid reference such as 106-081, or an item such as M4A1.
- Move with the arrow keys and press Enter, or click a result. Hold Shift while you click an item to add it to what is already shown.
- An item shows the buildings and event sites that can hold it, with the closest one named. Esc closes the list.
On the phone
- Tap the search box at the top and type.
- Tap a result. The map flies there and the panel shows what is in it.
What it is for. See which buildings can hold an item or a type of loot, and how likely.
On a computer
- Search for an item, or open the Loot button and pick a Loot Type or Tier.
- Buildings that can hold it get a yellow edge; the heat shows where there is far more than anywhere.
- For one item, open its page in the Wiki to see counts and chances per building.
On the phone
- Search for the item, then tap it in the results.
- Open the side menu and use the Loot section to pick a Loot Type or Tier.
What it is for. Switch map content on and off: roads, power lines, walls, trees, animals, hot zones and more.
On a computer
- Open Layers in the toolbar.
- Tick a Layer to show it. Open it to refine it, for instance to show only some kinds.
- All and None switch every Layer at once; Done closes the panel.
On the phone
- Open the side menu and go to Layers.
- Tap a Layer to switch it. Tap Done to get back to the map.
What it is for. Pick a ready-made set of Layers for the job: Looting, Travel, Tactical or Hunting.
On a computer
- Use the Preset menu at the top and choose one.
- If you change a Layer afterwards, the Preset shows as edited. Save it as a Preset of your own, or reset it, from Manage Presets.
On the phone
- Use the Preset dropdown in the top bar, next to the menu button.
- To save your own, choose Manage Presets at the bottom of the dropdown.
What it is for. Plan a way on foot or by vehicle, along roads and paths and over walls, with its length and time.
On a computer
- Right-click the map and choose Navigate, or click Route in the toolbar.
- Click the start, then the destination. Switch between foot and vehicle, and choose to avoid hot zones.
- Copy link shares the route. Clear removes it.
On the phone
- Long-press the map and choose Navigate, or use + at the bottom right.
- Tap the start, then the destination.
- You can also start from your own position (see Near me).
What it is for. Measure distance, bearing and height change between points.
On a computer
- Click Measure Distance in the toolbar, or right-click the map and choose Measure.
- Click points to add legs. Drag a point to move it, click it to remove it.
- Undo and Clear are in the panel, and Esc clears the ruler. Route this turns the line into a route.
On the phone
- Long-press the map and choose Measure, or tap + and Measure.
- Tap points. Tap Done when you have enough.
What it is for. See range, bullet drop and zeroing from a spot, and whether a shot is clear.
On a computer
- Right-click the spot you shoot from and choose Snipe from here, or use Sniping in the toolbar.
- Click the target. Pick the weapon, ammo, sight and zeroing in the panel.
- Drag either end to move it. Where a building stands, choose the roof instead of the ground.
On the phone
- Long-press your spot and choose Snipe from here.
- Tap the target, then set weapon, ammo and zeroing in the sheet. Drag its grip to resize it.
What it is for. Measure everything from where you are, not from the map's centre.

- The Near list orders places, wells and fuel by distance from you.
- In a Group, your Position Marker can stand in for it.

- Open the Near list from the side menu.
What it is for. Scout the ground: hills, tree cover and where a line of sight breaks.
On a computer
- Click 3D in the toolbar, or right-drag, Ctrl-drag or Alt-drag the map to tilt it.
- 3D trees and Fog (faster) are in the 3D options. Fog is lighter on a slow machine.
- Use Reset to north to level the map again.
On the phone
- Tap 3D at the right edge of the map, or drag with two fingers.
- The 3D switches are in the side menu.
- Tap the compass to reset to north.
What it is for. See the floors of a bunker, a mine or a big building as a plan.

On the phone
- Tap the place, then use the level stepper in the sheet.
- Tap the close button to get back to the map.

- Send the invite link; send the password separately.
- Double-click the map to ping a spot: everyone looks there. Right-click for markers.
